Stinky Triffid

I haven’t started to research what this is called, or what kind of plant it is!
It really pongs! Atracts flies! (they were scared off by my presence)
Something from outer Space!

Low Tide in Henderson Creek

We always have a cross country walk during Special Olympic Training and it takes us by Henderson Creek. A low tide and you can see the Mangrove seedlings on the mud, some of them taking root.080226-mangrove-3.jpg

Waitakere Trusts Stadium

The new atheletic track and stadium at the Waitakere Trusts Stadium.
This is where we hold our Special Olympic Atheletics training each Tuesday evening.
The Basketball and events Stadium is on the hill at left.
This is where The Breakers are based and the World Netball Championship was held last year!

South Piha Beach

After the Slow Food Convivium picnic I went home, collected Tyson & Taylor and off to Piha.
We usually go to North Piha but today decided on a change.
When you come out to these West Coast Beaches don’t forget your foot wear.
The black iron sand can really get painfull!
And ……SWIM BETWEEN THE FLAGS !!!
