A patch of these Fungi have appeared outside Chicken Run fence and beside the farm road.

The Waitakere Slow Food Convivium were having a picnic after the Oratia Farmers Market closed at noon today.
This was being hosted by Mary Ann and Aldo of Ecopac who have the stall next to us at the market selling fresh baby salad greens.
In my family a Bacon & Egg Pie was always taken on a picnic so I duly made one to add to the food table.
A Bacon & Egg Pie is exactly that; pastry, bacon, eggs and seasoning.
My hands were somewhat engaged during the pastry making to take photos, perhaps next time.
A big thankyou to Mary Ann, Aldo and Alessandra, our Waitakere Slow Food Convivivor, for a wonderful picnic!

I was checking some recipes in my Great Grandmother’s copy of Mrs Beaton’s Book of Household Management when the TV news reader spoke about the partial eclipse of the sun going on right at that moment!
This was around 6.15pm NZST.
I grabbed a piece of cardboard, punched a small hole through it with a fine ball point pen, and projected the image of the eclipse onto one of Mrs Beaton’s pages! Voila!

I then tried to capture the phenomenon with the camera.
Probably very lucky I didn’t fry the sensor!
What you can see is how dirty the sensor is, dust all over it!
Shame on me, I haven’t been doing my camera keeping!
