French Bay, being on the Manukau Harbour, has large tidal flats and when the tide comes in it gradualy rolls its way forward across the shell flats to the beach.

After the Special Olympians have finished training on come the Waitakere Atheletic Club Juniors, our Olympians of the future!


We always have a cross country walk during Special Olympic Training and it takes us by Henderson Creek. A low tide and you can see the Mangrove seedlings on the mud, some of them taking root.
